How to read the reports?

CAN ALT staff will assist you in interpreting the hair analysis reports. For example, elevated readings in patients can have different meanings depending upon:

   * Which mineral is elevated
   * Patient history
   * Mineral imbalance treatment programs
   * Relationships to other readings in the test.

All mineral readings represent the deposition of the mineral in the hair over the period of hair growth.  A very high reading may represent a toxic amount of mineral in the hair and the body tissues in general.  In the case of toxic metals, any accumulation indicates toxicity.
